Holi is one of the Hindu festival celebrated in India every year before the spring season.
On this auspicious occasion spreading everyone's love with sprinkling colors on each other. on the eve of Holi, people will gather wood to one place to lighten the bonfire also known as Holi Dahan to celebrate the victory of good over evil.
Story :
A Demon Holika, the sister of Hiranyakashipu ( the Demon King ) asked Holika ( sister of Demon King ) to kill his son Prahalada (by burning him alive) because of his devotion on the God lord vishnu and tried alot but prahlada got survived.
As holika had the power of fire immunity gave by gods. Holika tried to kill prahalada by sitting along with him on the fire to burn him to death.
Holika was punished by gods for using the powers for evil and they (Gods) burned her to death.
on this day the holi dahan was celebrated as the victory of the good over evil
